About Wigton Moor United Reformed Church

Wigton Moor Church is part of the United Reformed Church (URC), and has been serving the local community in Leeds 17, West Yorkshire, for over 50 years (since October 1967). We provide a place for Christians in Leeds 17 to gather and worship God.

We are an ecumenical church, which means that EVERYONE is assured of a warm welcome, with an open invitation to come along and share in our worship or community life.

As a church and individually we support charities which underpin the URC ’s wider mission e.g. Wigton Moor Church actively supports PAFRAS (Positive Action For Refugees and Asylum Seekers).

Our aim is to become more of a community ‘hub’, with a particular focus on young people and families, and support for the elderly and isolated. We already host a very successful cafe (Community Coffee Stop), weekly Chair-based Excercise Classes, and individual events e.g. the recent Fundraising Concert.
